​Courier Water Dog

The Courier Water Dog test consists of 5 exercises which show an ability to perform tasks that were required of the Portuguese Water Dogs of the past who were active members of the fishing boats. These exercises demonstrate amazing skill, physical strength and endurance and a strong work ethic. A dog that passes this level once earns a Courier Water Dog title (CWD). A team that passes this test three times earns the Courier Water Dog Excellent title (CWDX).
